These are my preferred Web sites. You will be able to find games, activities or exercises classified into the categories of Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking or Pronunciation.

Reading Comprehension


Activity 1 
 You will found here some exercises about matching words to definitions, answering questions, passive voice sentences, and changing the meaning of the original sentence given.

Activity 2
 There is a short story called "A Wise Woman's Stone" followed by some reading comprehension questions.

Activity 3

There is a short story called "Dan’s latest adventures in South Africa" followed by some reading comprehension questions.

Activity 4
There is a short story called "McDonald’s Boss Dies Suddenly"  followed by some reading comprehension questions.

Listening Comprehension


Activity 1

Practice your number listening comprehension. Listen to the people speaking about different numbers and write down the number you hear.

Activity 2

Telling the time. What time is it? Listen and see if you can understand.

Activity 3

Listen to John, Sue and Mary deciding what to do this evening. Choose the correct answer from the multiple choice questions.


Activity 4

Listen to two people speaking about different objects and write down the price of each object. When you have finished, click on the arrow to see if you have answered correctly.

Activity 5

Making a dinner reservation. Listen to a man making a dinner reservation and choose from the multiple choice answers the best answer to the questions.

Speaking or Pronunciation Comprehension

Activity 1

Words containing the vowel sounds /I/, /i:/, /e/ and /æ/, such as bit, beat, bet and bat. Decide with of the words is correct with a check mark.


Activity 2

Vowel Game. It can be played with five players who will answer different types of questions.

  1. Hi Susannah. I just wanted to ask if it was possible for you to give us a brief explanation regarding the first 10 types of activities. I feel like it's useful to have a brief introduction that way we know what we are cliking into and see if it's a wesite that can work for us. Thank you!
